Walk by the river C&C Please

So, after raining all day, about 1/2 hour before sunset the weather broke and I rushed over to the river and took some pictures. I am very new to photography, so any c&c is welcome and appreciated.

#4 is very promising with the sun just shining on the top of the trees and the river smoothed out, however the branch on the left is distracting.
The sun would put color in the sky just a bit later in the evening.
Your angle needs to give your picture leading line - you have them straight on. See #3 where you almost have a neat S curve - if you stepped to the right.
Read up on rule of thirds, golden hour, and S curves or just curves. Nice job on the smoothness of the water in #3.
