Walk in the Woods

On Thursdays I have to drive to campus and I get to stop early and walk in a nearby nature reserve. The forest floor is covered now with wildflowers including my favorite Trilliums. The first photo is a Wake Robin (Trillium viridescens) which I actually took last week when they peaked. They're the first to bloom. Yesterday the classic (Trillium catesbaei), were in bloom with their white flowers. And I caught a Jack in the Pulpit as a bonus.

A really nice 3 picture set. Love picture #3 the best. Picture #1 could use a small crop off the top just below the white flower in the background. All 3 pictures have exceptionally nice diffused light.

#1 is really cool (i mean, for a flower...) but I wish it was landscape to see the leaves. great photos.

#3 is good but tip of the leave is blurred.... Perhaps too large an aperture ??

I like the first two. Nice exposure and detail but I do agree with Joel about the crop on #1.
