Too wet to work in the garden so I just took off on a walk in the neighborhood. Grabbed some snaps and got the bug to do B&W. The statue is in the piazza across from the church. Oly Pen E-PL9 w/14-42mm

This sort of shooting prioritizes pre-visualization--a worthwhile exercise. Small, high-quality compacts help, too. Like the series, especially #2 and #4.

I used to carry a Canon G7xmkII as a go everywhere compact. But a couple months ago I decided to trade it in (crazy prices) and got my first MFT sensor camera -- little Olympus Pen Lite. E-PL5 weighs only 3 ounces more than the G7 did. I liked it so much I went and got an E-PL9 and more lenses. Absolutely delightful cameras.

Have a little Ricoh GR II and Fuji X-100T--love 'em.
