Usually I don't care for shots of just the sky. Fortunately you didn't do this and have trees and horizon lines which give them a reference point and make the shots work.

I like #1 best, you captured a huge amount of space, you must have a nice wide angle lens!

Thanks Jadin, I agree these sky pics do look better with the ground showing.
Its not a wide angle lens, pic 1 and 3 are 3 pics stacked ontop of each other
