too contrasty, too dark. The bud is blown out.... (do you calibrate your monitor?) it is literally glowing it is so blown out. The pads are so dark there is hardly any detail in them. Please post the original.....

My 1st thought was this is a light painting. is it? if not then see above

This was the original pic, I did intend to make it appear as though it was at night and that the Lilly is glowing to create the light in the center of the pad in doing my modifications to the original pic. Very much like a light painting effect yes.

Like for water lily the b&w version looks claustrophobic.
