It was all ambient light for the most part, but I occasionally used my speedlight to add some fill light ( aim the flash head up with the white card pulled out)

These are really well done! The lighting is so smooth, the poses are fun. I really love this set.

I'm just curious- (because I don't know) if you could have done what someone suggested in another post with number 6. That is, set up a tripod and taken 3-4 shots at different times and made a composite in order to make the people disappear. Would that have worked in this situation? (Perhaps you wanted the people, I am just making mental notes here, it's not really a criticism)

Yes that would totally work. That is a very common technique of removing unwanted subjects in a shot. I would have done just that but I didn't have my tripod with me
