Weddings - Do you ask for a vendor list?

Simple question:
Do you usually ask for a vendor list prior to the wedding?
It would create a great opportunity to know which vendors will be working during the wedding and it would make it easier to network and keep in touch with other wedding vendors...

What are your thoughts?
Do you happen to have a vendor list form you send out to wedding planners or brides you could share here?

In my contract I have them list the other vendors. We sign the contract and I collect the full payment 1 month in advance. But I like to do all paper work in person.

Nope. Don't ask, don't really care.
When I get to the job, meet who ever else is there and important for me to work with (MC/D/Band, Videographer, Caterer, Matradee, etc) and thats it.
Otherwise people hire me bc of the product I'll deliver and its up to me to provide it.
What I do have in my contract is regarding limitation on the job based on circumstances: don't have actual wording in front of me but basically I'm saying that I'll do everything possible to give the client what they want but I'm not responsible and will notify them if a circumstances arise that will prevent me from it such as Videographer in the way and has no regard for anyone else, caterer is having a BAD day, guests/family late, etc.

Nope. There to do the photography for the B&G, and that's all I'm concerned about. Nothing you can do about the vendors, anyways. Every event's going to have a different DJ, caterer, etc., so it doesn't matter really.. I guess, unless you're a wedding planner in addition.

My super on top of it brides give me lists, but I've always done just fine without them. The only real benifit I have ever seen to getting the list is its a little easier to network and self promote.
