Weekly challenge 12/1 - 12/7 The object of my affection...

Apologies for not being more active with the challenges lately. This is a very busy time for me at work plus doing some remodeling and redecorating at home so have been flat out for a few weeks... I owe photos to the last 3 or 4 challenges! I'll do my best to catch up soon but it's looking like 2019 is going to be a crazy year at work and with personal stuff. I prefer a more sedate, not overbooked, pace to life so I'm not thrilled at all the crazy busy madness that is about to happen. Trying to martini my way through it! Actually, if I had chosen a martini glass as the "object of my affection", I probably would have had more than enough entries lol.

Hope the madness settles soon or you find a way to cope ( other than the martini, lol. We don't need drunken photos! ).

I'm in the same boat, really want to get some lens time in but it seems Saturday is the only chance I get, and lately even that has been booked. :(

I work odd days, so am usually only able to participate 2 or 3 days per week, so I understand your situation. Carry on!

I definitely wanted to take part in this challenge, but quite unexpectedly I'd to do tests in the hospital during several days this week, so enthusiasm is gone a bit at the moment. When I've my ICD pacemaker implanted next Monday, it's not allowed to lift anything heavier than 1 kilo or reach my hands/forearms above my shoulders for a period of 2 months, so I'm really very sorry to pass all weekly challenges up to February 2019...

Good luck with the procedure. I hope everything works well and you are back to posting your wonderful work soon! Take care of yourself and follow the doctor's orders so we can enjoy your work!

Thank you, you're very kind. I'm treated in the best (specialized) Dutch hospital for heart disease. I completely trust their specialists.

Take care of yourself and follow dr’s instructions. Hope you’re feeling better soon.

Thanks. The hardest thing is to not be allowed to do so many simple things myself for 2 months, think of washing my hair, pulling on a coat or sweater etc.
Fortunately, yesterday, we managed to assemble our (artificial) Christmas tree. I hope that you'll keep time for the weekly challenge between all your activities!

Late to the theme this week.

1. Daughter's first Christmas shoes. She is 28 years now.

2. I inherited my mother in law's village set. Recently I went to buy accessories only, but when I saw this pet photography I had to have it.

Hi gk. Hope all went well? Not sure if you’re able to but had a great suggestion from one of our other regular weekly challenge participants - since you can’t take new photos for a while, you can post your older stuff if it fits the theme. Maybe a re-edit if you’re able.

Thank you, yes, everything went well, the pain has almost disappeared, but lying/sleeping on the left side is simply not yet possible. In 2 months it will be clear whether all 3 wires ("leads") have grown into my heart.
It's amazing how a bacterium that is only visible under the microscope can affect not only my current life, but also my future within a period of 13 weeks. I like this idea very much and will try to realize a few (re)edits etc. for the upcoming weekly challenges.
