For this week’s challenge, let’s overcome a common technical difficulty. Many people don’t understand flash very well (myself included). Post a couple of photos of the same subject in different lighting scenarios, at least one using flash either as fill light or your main source of light. Natural light, ambient light, shade, sun, window, reflector, on or off camera flash. Try one with flash head on, another with flash off camera and another with flash bounced off the ceiling or a reflector. Try using your flash TTL and then manual settings.

Those of you who are experts - you know who you are - show off your skills! As always, new photos only for the challenge please. Get up and shoot!

LOL, I had gotten out my speedlite back for the indoor light weekly challenge.
Had to work out all over again how to get it to work with the Yongnuo trigger/receivers on the Fuji body.
Kept it out for gk's light from below b/w challenge.
Finally put it away at the end of last week.
Figures.

Lol I looked at doing the chalange today after the current set up finished
I expected the time lapse shoot to last 4 and a bit hours. Welll opps somewhere my settings are more than a bit off, the camera is still grinding away after 10 hours with no sign of stopping
Oh well I wanted a longer time lapse sequence

I hope it works out well!

Na completely fail. Oh well, such is life. At least with digital I did not have to wait until film was processed.

It was night, raining and I called it quits before getting drenched . Only two were worth sharing. I think I had something on the stove as well.

Both are shot with the built in flash and a $5 diffuser along with the Lumecube about 3 feet away illuminating from below. The second is under exposed 1 stop. I really needed to get the tripod out a shoot with an aperture that would provide more DOF.

I dug out the Speedlite and Yongnuo trigger/receivers again.
Went across the street this morning to the neighbor's flowers.
