the colors are nice in the second one. try turning the first one into black and white

The first one would be nice with a blue sky and interesting clouds. Blue would compliment the beautiful warm tones of that structure.

Colors are nice but is it me or the first picture is a bit out of focus and not very sharp?

The first one does seem a bit soft, but it looks nice centered and i think it would be cool as a black and white with a faint vignette on it. The second one is really well done! Excellent focus

Agreed someone needs to ask if they can photoshop

I kind of like the moody sky in the first - adds some extra punch. It would indeed be nice with brilliant blue skies as well (but for the love of not abusing Photoshop don't you dare try editing it in. Reshoot early morning or late in the day with different weather). Purty macro.

So is there nothing wrong with the second one?

The background in the second one is a little cluttered on the right... I really like the colors though

Boring.

I like soft photos...I like both of these...way better than anything I've done so far. Thank you for sharing these. Motivates me to go out and shoot some more.

First shot, just my style, would be to crop off one of the sides and take the tower off center and also convert to BW. Its a bit OOF but not so much that you can't work with it. The second shot is excellent as is, I might brighten it up just a tad.
