So our Gov. has partially released the People' Republic of New Mexico.

But part of "Phase one" is a mandatory use of face masks...

"Released the people", that doesn't ring nor sit well.

"Released the people", see how wrong that sounds. Maybe someone told your governor about a thing called the bill of rights.
There is NOTHING I can say....

Just roll with it.

Even when we start opening I will be avoiding restaurants, crowds, stores, etc. I am glad we wear masks in NY and will do so until we have zero cases. And a vaccine. Our parks are open. I just hike and bike ride and take photos. I’m antisocial anyway, so none of this has really bothered me. BTW I like your mask. It works.

I'm not anti-social but I am Non-Social. Waiting for the campgrounds to open in a few weeks.

I like to call them bacteria sponges...

We never where in any lockdown In CT and only masks are mandated when we can't social distance or going in stores but still not everyone will have one on most do though. I am not sick so my choice and will not where a mask outdoors and most people are not either. I see people driving with masks on total ridiculous and not safe. there has already been someone passed out from lack of oxygen and crashed. Most of our beaches and state parks have remained open.

I totally get the cautious approach, but as a medical professional, I’m gonna caution you not to count on those goals.

We will most probably never reach zero cases. And we may never develop and effective vaccine, or it may take many years before we do.

For example: one of the last viruses to cause widespread mass panic in the US was HIV. Even with millions of dollars and many top researchers working on it, we still don’t have a cure and it took us over two decades to develop an effective treatment/prevention for it.

Keep wearing the mask. Keep being cautious.

But at a certain point we all MAY have to make the *personal* choice that it’s time to resume our lives and just accept that this is something we’ll be living with the way we do with influenza, etc.
