What Are The Chances?

Just this morning I was commenting on JacaRanda's Cormorant set. I had never seen a bird quite like that, with just how beautiful those eyes are. After lunch, I decided to go by my local lake (more like a large pond) to snap a few shots. Place isn't usually very exciting, it's a heavily trafficked public park. Usually just gulls and the usual duck and geese. But as soon as I walked down to the shoreline I spot this guy:

Not nearly as good as Jaca's shots, but having never seen one of these before, it had me giggling about the whole thing.

In the gull shots it looks like you need to clean your lens and or sensor ?

The spots you are seeing in those shots are actually other gulls way off in the distance.
