What DSLR is for me?

Hello,
I am going into my second year of college and I'm a film student. I don't have a camera of my own and I want to invest in a really good one that will last a long time. I was thinking between the Canon 70D or T6s. Im not sure which is better for me or is another camera is better. I do want to be a cinematographer so it does matter. I would really like some ones professional opinion on the matter. Thank you!

Either one is fine. If you have a fixed budget, the T6s will leave you more money for lenses.
And no, they don't really last a long time.

For shooting video I would suggest the Panasonic GH4 which is really geared toward video making and is a good photographers camera too.
If you want the best DSLR for pure video then the Canon 70D
If you want best crop sensor DSLR for photography then get the Nikon D7200 and is a good video machine too.

Why? Yes I asked Why? Unless things have changed since I was in college the school should have far better equipment for your use than you can afford. We had production quality equipment and studios, and I went to a college in the Midwest. Unless you have a real reason for it save your money, use the schools gear and get something once you are out of school, have a job and can afford good gear.
