What External Hard Drives do You All Use?

Referring to a couple of previous comments:

It is safer to use CDs rather than DVDs for back-up, and use reputable brands such as Verbatim (get those made in Taiwan rather than in India), or Taio Yuden (harder to find)

HD back-ups should also have a second back-up (diff drive type and made a year apart)
...on this note, keep one back-up HD in a separate place (in case of fire or burglary)

Don´t forget on-line back-ups are an increasingly popular option
