What fluid for cleaning flatbed scanner glass

I've taken apart my flatbed scanner so that I can access both sides of the glass for cleaning. I have a microfibre cloth ready. What fluid should I use to spray onto the cloth for cleaning the glass? I understand that Windex is not to be used.

I have a bottle of Nexxtech Anti-Static Cleaning Gel (it's not really gel, it's just as fluid as water) that says it's for Plasma and LCD screens. The fluid is simply a bit of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate in water. Is this OK to clean the scanner glass with?

I just tested it by cleaning a cheap magnifying glass I have. There appear to be no streaks or spots.

Should work good, as long as there are no streaks. I dont know why you cant use windex on it, It is glass not plastic. I also use a cleaner that I get for cleaning eye glasses.

Apparently Windex can leave a nasty blue hue on the glass.
