The standard size for a perforation (sprocket hole) on 16mm film is 0.050 inch (height) by 0.072 inch (width)

The question is what is the size for the same 16mm film intended for 8mm camera. Such film has twice as many perforations, i.e. the pitch is half.

It seems like the height is the same 0.050 inch, but it is not clear what is the width? This applies to the 1960s, in case there have been changes since then

For Standard / Regular / Double 8 the perforations are the same, but at half the pitch of 16 mm. We used to reperforate double-perf 16 mm film to add the extra perforations between the 16 mm ones, for use in Regular 8 cameras. The perforations for Super 8, Double Super 8 and Single 8 are smaller, but those formats came later (in 65) and are not applicable to the Zapruder film.

Check those dimensions you gave. Try to find the typical tolerances that existed then (1936 standards) if the exact dimensions are important to you.
