I have been using the Sony-Zeiss 24mm 1.8 on my a6000 for a couple of years now. It is wonderfully sharp but rather wide. I'm thinking I might want more of a portrait lens for some occasions. What should I look at if price is no barrier?

Does the a6000 have a 'normal' crop sensor, or micro 2 thirds? If its the normal crop you could try something in the 60-85 range. I just ordered a 50/1.4 and I'm really excited, but it might be a tad on the short side for portrait photography. This all depends on how much space you have to work with. If you're outside, and have limitless space. Then get a 70-200.

the a6000 is an aps-c.

I have never been in the budget no limit catagory. Sony released a well endowed 85mm lens recently that is top class by all accounts but on an a6000 I think something in the 50-60ish region be better. Is the sigma 50 1,4 art in sony fit

This link of a6000 and 50mm lens might give you ideas, or even help you decide if 50mm is good for what you need
