What Lenses

I just got my Sony A230 today and got the 18-55 mm lens with it. I am wanting to get a portrait lens and a macro lens as well as a good magnifier. Can anyone give me ideas of low medium and expensive lenses and what they prefer? I would like to not spend tons, but I want an honest opinion.
