I'd really love to get a macro lense for my camera and wondering what I should get. I'd like to stay with Canon glass, and I'm wondering if anyone can recomend a lense. And what would be a good standard size lense for macro. Thanks.

The 100mm Macro is supposed to be pretty good, and it's also a good focal length for portraits.

I haven't heard a lot about the 50mm macro or the 180mm macro.

IF you want to get really close, there is the MP-E65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro, which can give up to 5x magnification.

Another option would be to get extension tubes which essentially allows any lens to focus closer to the subject, therefore giving you more magnification.
