what resolution for a contest?

I'm about to enter an online contest. The rules don't mention any image size or resolution requirements. The sponsor will get non-exclusive rights to use the winning pictures for x months, and possibly post them on their website during this period.

Now, as a rule when I upload photos to the internet, I do it in very low resolution so that it's harder for people to download them and use them. I was wondering, should I send the pictures in high resolution as they will have to be evalauted by judges, or in lower resolution so that, assuming my pictures get posted on their website, it'd be harder for people to use them?

I would be very wary of a contest that does not specify a minimum image size (pixel dimensions) and a minimum file size.

Only if I didn't care about giving my photograph away.
