What should this background be?

So this shot, I like the composition and stuff, but the white background just doesn't really suit it I think. What do you think would have suited it better?

Yeah, I mean everything is on me, but I'm looking for others' ideas for inspiration.

I think the reason the white background does not work is because the white balance on the face is off, her skin looks blue.

Yeah, that's a good point. I have some others where I made it warmer, but I also like this cooler look too. Kind of reminds me of V for Vendetta.

Then it needs a background that has a cooler blue white balance.

Almost anything that would complement her skin tones.
But, as others have said, she is way underexposed and too blue.
The 'cool' look doesn't go with her features and hair, I think.

I wouldn't add a background. I'm not sure how you would work it. As Traveler said, her skin tone doesn't do the cool blue very well. She looks sickly. Here is what I would do though to make the picture more flattering...

If you're going to add one, I'd go with something subtle ...



And warm her up some. Use curves, levels, etc. Couple spots in her bangs need cloning.

There's some rough edges around her hair and not much you can do about it now.

Or just warm her up some and leave the white background.
