What snake is this?

Don't know what kind of snake is this.
But it's kinda beautiful

Looks like a timber rattle snake but not sure.

Where did you take the photo? I'm pretty sure that is a saw scaled viper; I took a lot of photos of these guys in Afghanistan.

That very distinctive "angel" on the head is a marker for this snake.

It was here at Switzerland (local Zoo).
But I found myself amazed by it's beauty - Strange, usually I don't like snakes.

That was my first thought (light phase) but the markings don't look right.
