What the heck happened?

Well I just got home form shooting a wedding and I was looking through the photos. I noticed that 3 out of +1500 looked like this:

What went wrong? It was shot on a new D7000 and another one from my D50 turned out like this. (Color and size varies but not shape) And it might be a coincidence but they only happened on horizontal orientation.

I have no idea but that goodness it was only 3 photos...

They didn't look like that on the preview?

Could be a card error I suppose. I've had pictures corrupt in strange ways on cheap USB thumb drives.

EDIT: Seeing as it happened to shots from 2 different camera, I'd say definitely a somewhat bad card.

Try copying from the card again.. not sure what caused it though

I really don't use the preview too much but Ill check in the morning. And they were new cards (good ones at that... $80 but I got them 1/2 off this christmas at best buy)

But I made sure to format them all before the wedding and right after I inserted them into the slot... Im just glad it isn't my cameras... Thanks everyone for your input!
