What would you do? Buying a lense tonight please help.

Have my mouse over a buy it now button on ebay for $900. Im currently using a 60D with a 135mm kit lens. I heard good things about L series. Need help here...is there something better out there in this price range for a canon that you would prefer?

Not sure if you've bought it yet or not but there are 2 common alternatives to the lens you are considering:

1) Canon 300mm f4 IS L (+1.4Teleconverter) with IS and a long reach its a sharp setup that reaches a good 420mm.

2) Canon 400mm f5.6 L - sharpest of the three (at 400mm) its a very strong choice if you want the longest reach possible all the time. It does however lack the IS feature.

In the end its a choice - do you want the versatility of the zoom lens (100-400mm) the sharper long reach of the 300mm and teleconverter or do you want the longest and best image quality possible (in this price range).
