What's after D300s?

People! My photography bzb relates to studio, sometimes outside, family pix and some boudoir...So, which would be my upgrade, considering I have a D300s as main camera and D90 for backup? A large SLR maybe??

If you wanted new, I'd look at
the d7100 for a crop camera
or the d810 for a full frame

or newer than your d300s
d7000 crop
d800/e full frame

everyone's waiting for the d9200/d400 pro crop body which hasn't ever materialized.

Do you think a D4 would be too much for the purpose?

I have no experience with a d4 .. or the d300s
but looking at one of those comparisons

i knew the d4 would be better because it's a top pro camera, and a lot of more money

Depends on your lenses!!! Switching from DX N Ikon to FX Nikon requires different lens lengths for every kind of shot. And yes, I think a D4 is kind of overkill for what you're shooting; I think a D610 would be adequate.

I'd go D810...then succumb to the GAS Syndrome....
