WHCC Printing

Hey all!

I've got a print that I want to get printed through WHCC, and I have a quick question about it. I'm using the ROES program to order the prints, and when I upload the shot into the program, it appears really dark. I've not had issues with ROES or WHCC before, so I'm not sure what is going on. I'm using a calibrated monitor if that makes any difference.

I wouldn't worry about it; my lab uses the same sort of software, and part of what it does is crunch your 5, 10, 15 or whatever Mb image file into literally a few Kb so that you can check for crop, etc. The ROES thumbnails I see are always very dark, "grainy" and basically look like crap, but the prints are always fine. My lab also has an option where for a small extra charge (~thirty cents on an 8x10) they will actually adjust, density, etc for the print. I always select this and my prints are always top-notch. Might be worth checking into that with your lab.
