When do i know if i need to charge for my services???

Im not judging the book by the cover, ..........
....But really I make no final determination until I see someones work... .........

Yet is seems you already have.

Your gear list is pretty sad. If this is all the gear someone came with I would not pay them. I would not even let them shoot second with me. You are at tag-a-long status. That's the photog equivalent of the friend zone. You aint gettin none!

So you going to trade him your d7000 and all your lenses for his d40 since theoretically you could get the same results?

Senseless question to begin with. My results would obviously be different than the OPs. And I never claimed to get the results he is.

Nor do I want to get back into that branch of the craft.

Are you wanting to "go pro"

I am shooting kids, people, and weddings for free for a long time now, nearly 2 years.

D40 is about equal to your A200

(to the OP) I don't think you are going to get a helpful answer here, you'll have to figure this one out for yourself.

On the contrary, he got several helpful answers! :)

This is true...

I checked out some of your shots.. some are ok, but a lot of the sets have several different skin tones for the same subject... some are really green or blue or yellow. A lot of the lighting is very harsh... and you need to learn how to handle that. Composition is all over the place too.. a lot are framed too tightly with the tops of heads cut off.. and some are framed way too open with half the frame wasted. You are as good as many of the facebook MWAC's.. but not what I would call marketable. Give it a year or two of practice.. get a flash.. learn to use it. Study lighting and composition. Learn to post process more accurately....

Not trying to bust your dreams, dude.. just an honest quick look at your shots...

Most of them were shot when i was still in my first few months that's why most of them are crap.

But i cant recall a photo i took with top of heads cut off?
