thanks, this was when we were both younger - and not as worn.
But she was the perfect Colonel's wife, beautiful, trim, intelligent, charming - all that.
She wasn't used to the hierarchical life in the military and, happily, didn't buy into that, so she was incredibly popular, not only because of her natural grace, but because she wasn't what other junior officers' wives had come to expect.

I will look for a representative picture.
Not too long after those pictures were taken she became sick and has been sick for much of the last 20 years.
