Does anybody have any idea if there is anyplace that will have this lens in stock.

Call one of the bigger places like B&H or Adorama. I've heard that when something is listed as out of stock...it may only take a day or two to get it in...but they get snapped up so the website doesn't get up dated...so calling is the way to go.

Perhaps because of all the positive reviews it gets from virtually every website and magazine?

Perhaps because it is a very versatile lens?

Perhaps the OP doesn't want to carry 4 lenses everywhere he goes, and just wants to take one along on a shoot.

Perhaps it is because he has seen pictures taken with it, and thinks they look good?

Perhaps he has a ton of 72mm filters, and it's the only lens he can find to use them on...

What does it matter WHY the OP wants to buy the lens? It's HIS money. He was asking WHERE to find it in stock.
