Given the context of the photo, I believe this to be the case.

Personally I like the second one better, for composition. The first however is (in my opinion) a better photo. Had the color been a bit more cooler (less magenta in the building and stone leading to the building) and the pond not been blurry, I would say the second one is spot on. In the first one I would have preferred the the stone been more to the right. It may have put the building and the stone on the 1/3rd lines and fixed the issue with composition.
