Which ips monitor to get

hi everyone im looking to get a new monitor with the money im getting back from taxes. I rather not spend more then 250 dollars. which one should i get?

I've heard good things about the Dell UltraSharps. The 21-1/2" (UH2212HM) is running $219, if that is large enough for your needs. I am starting to look, myself, and am seriously considering this one.

Whatever you do, don't get the HP 2311xi. I bought two because of all the great reviews I read and the image quality is rather poor. I keep them next to each other and they're set-up exactly the same way but one is significantly brighter than the other. Go figure.

Honestly, i think in the price range you are looking at you wont see a very big difference in any IPS monitor., and will probably be happy with any of them. Both Dell and Asus make an IPS around your budget. We use an Asus pro art series IPS and love it, but its about twice your budget. And its not really considered a "pro" monitor.

this is the one i was thinking of getting. Newegg.com - ASUS MX239H Silver / Black 23" 5ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor, IPS Panel 250 cd/m2 80,000,000:1 Built-in Speakers was originally going to get the bigger one which is 27in but i couldnt send that much money.

This is an incredibly insightful remark and I thank you for posting it. I can only assume you have some godlike research skills and have been able to find an Apple display to suit the specific users needs or budget. Or maybe you're just trying get rid of your old display for bargain basement prices. In any case thanks also for providing us information on where we can get such Apple products, naturally "for the win".

i would never get an apple display. They have such bad reflections on them and for 1000 dollars you can get better monitors.
