macro flower is its strong point with that lens - it really shines with that sort of work. The softer 300mm you can see when you start using the lens for more far off subjects. Its a good lens for the money and will give a good go at almost anything/
How does the Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 compare to a Nikon 70-210 f/3.5 Vivitar Series 1 Macro? Now that I bought my Sigma, I learned that a friend is selling his Vivitar for half the price :-\ I still have the 30-day return policy.
