Which long zoom?

I just ordered a D7500 for wildlife. I'm looking at long tele zooms. Sigma C150-600… Tamron g1 150-600. I'd like to stay under 1k. I like the looks of the Nikon 200-500 but it is . little out of my price range. Any suggestions?

Wait and save a bit more, if you want the Nikon 200-500.
It is currently on sale for $1250. So if you can push a bit more, you can get it now.

Abes of Main has one for a bit more than $1,000, but I think that is a grey market lens, because they list purchaseable warranty. Add the purchaseable warranty, and you are up to the price of a US lens. Nikon USA has a 5 year extended warranty on US lenses as part of the purchase price. Warning: Nikon USA will NOT repair grey market lenses.
