Which of these 2 boat scene is better

These pictures were taken in Canada. They were both taken with a simple point and shoot. Which do you think is better? I like the first one better.

Just a small add. I would like the first one if it was cropped into a panoramic of just the houses on the cliff and a little bit of the water - no boat, no dock on the left and no stairs on the bottom right...

Well, you were lucky not to get the usual Nova Scotia fog that is prevalent there. The second is better BUT it still needs to be adequately postprocessed in Photoshop or other editing/processing program.

I really like both shots. The first one is alittle too busy, but otherwise looks really nice.
