Which one do you like best?

I'm having another torn thoughts situation. I need to submit only one of these two photos. Any thoughts/critiques here?

I don't pretend to be an expert so my opinion doesn't count for much, but to my untrained eye I prefer the second one. The first would be fantastic if the tips of the wings had been caught in frame.

Agreed. The first would have been stunning had the gull in focus been inside the frame as one whole bird, but the way it now is...

... I think the second is the better one.

That first shot is awesome. I have seen that second shot about 3000 times. It is kind of overplayed. A big white bird on the right or left side of the frame. But dont think that I am saying it isn't good, it is a great image. But the first one is unique. Depends on what you are entering it in.

Agree with the last two responses...#1 is far more unique than #2.

I would go with the first one too. I dont know if you its legal to clone, but maybe you can clone out the tiny little bird, in the upperleft. Besides that, its a great shot. Like mentioned, the white bird has been done a couple of times allready
