I like the second photo the most. I am envisioning what I'd be able to se in a 19-inch wide print, and not this small 800-pixel wide TPF thumbnail that we're allowed here...

2nd
1st has too much distortion and the last does not tell a story.

shoot well, Joe

No. 1 has too much sky. 3 leaves too much out (cropped gate, rock, etc and no trail leading up to the gate).

Two is my choice. If possible, I'd return and retake the scene only aiming the camera down a bit to include more of the tire tracks on this side of the gate. I would also edit out the flares.

Thanks for the great feedback. I think two is the strongest also but sometimes it hard to edit down your own images ;)

2. You got rid of the flare. But judging your pictures as I would judge my own, the broken bar on the gate spoils the scene.

1 & 2 are to wide and 3 is to close. I'm going to disagree with the comment on the broken fence. The fence is the most interesting part of the image, that's why I think 1 & 2 are two wide and 3 is to close. If your going to go wide show more of the tracks leading to the fence. That's the point of interest the tracks leading to it would provide some good leading lines.

Thanks for the feedback but I disagree, I think the fact that the fence is so worn out tells a story about how much use it gets.
