Which one should I buy? Fujifilm Finepix S4000 of Olympus SP-720UZ (?)

I'm 23 years old and I'm totally new in the world of Photography with little experience...


A few years ago I bought a Fujifilm Finepix HS10 with 30x optical zoom but it was a disappointment because the quality of the zoom was terrible and I sold it...


I a few websites I discovered there is a new(er) model of the Finepix H10; the Finepix S4000, also with 30x optical zoom... The price is here in Belgium 179 euro.

I've a few questions and hope I can get answers on each question, see below:

Question 1) Is the Finepix S4000 better than its predecessor HS10? Especially how is the 30x optical zoom quality of the S4000 compared with the HS10, anyone have any idea or experiance with it?

Question 2)It's especially intended for male models to photograph, also in low light environments, which will later be published on a website. I also want to take quality pictures of landscapes, animals from a distance, etc. etc and I was wondering if the Finepix S4000 is suitable for what I want it for? Or am I obliged to buy an SLR camera? (But you have to know that I don't have a wide budget to buy something expensive)

Question 3) I just read an article that Olympus will release a new budget friendly camera in Belgium & the Netherlands which is called the SP-720UZ. See more info below:

In Belgium and the Netherlands the price will be 249 euro. So there is only 70 euro of difference between this and the Finepix S4000. Which one should you buy and why? I think the Olympus SP-720UZ has better properties than the the Finepix S4000 no?

These are my questions for now, of course I'm open for any suggestion, tips and advices...
