I’d like some feedback on these two photos, they are the same, just different post processing. Which one do you prefer and why?

Specs:
Handheld at 200mm (non-IS)
Shutter: 1/50
Aperture: f/4
ISO 3200

I am immediately attracted to the "white" area of the face ... the second does not have a neutral tone to it, so I find it off in colour ... and appears over-exposed.

Number 2 is pretty bad, in my opinion, completely unrealistic looking with very blown highlights. The first is much better.
