White Balance Card

Looking for something sturdy - since it needs to go in the bag and not get destroyed being toted about with me. Is something like these good for the purpose? Or would it be better to use something bigger or from cardstock/paper instead of plastic?

Robin Myers gray card. Solid plastic, color throughout it. So any scratches can be same out.

Thanks! In the WhiBal one, what is the purpose of the focus target? I thought you didn't have to be in focus on the card for setting WB?

Have you ever tried one of those white balance lens caps? I got a cheap one and have been pleasantly surprised with how well it does!

I'm in search of a really great wb card. I'm planning to bring it with me to have a paint color created for my studio. This thread is over a year old, and I wanted to see if these suggestions were still the ones that people would go with.

If all you need is a sample color for the hardware store to scan, then any gray card will suffice.

This may be a dumb question, but does white balance make any difference when shooting RAW? I read that it doesn't matter because you can just change it to whatever you want in post....
