UPDATE:

Ok so heres a quick update.

I entered the rose into the competition and got some very nice comments about it.

Unfortunately the photo didn't win any of the prices, however I think people enjoyed viewing the photo and thats a good thing.

Thanks for all the help etc.. and advice.
