who are the best sellers?

Same thing ... attorney ... cop ... ahh that was a joke sir ... really ... seriously, it was a joke ... you can put your weapon down sir ... ahh what position is that sir ...

Nice try ... my first Nikon was an F, way way back in the '60s. Then a few FTn-s ... all with motors ... but back then I was doing news. My last Nikons were F2s and FMs for those times when I didn't need the heavyweights. Then I got out of the biz in the 80s and hung up my cameras.

And why isn't the D200 good for sports ... I never looked into the matter? Other than noise at higher ISO which is a killer for all non-professional nighttime and indoor sports, what's wrong with the D200?

I've been shooting digital for a little more than two years.

PS- Yes that 6x7 Pentax was hit real hard with the ugly stick. I had a Hassy.

As for the Canon/Nikon thing, part of it was the noise above ISO 400. I shoot a lot of higher ISO both for sports and wildlife/nature. I am shooting both outdoors and in for sports. Even with a f1.8 every once in a while I have to push to 800 or even 1600 to get good results depending on the lighting.

That and the 400 f2.8 makes me Drool. :drool:

Big time. I am a hobbist, but I am about 2/3 of the way to that lens. Hope to have it as a Christmas present for me this year.

Frankly, I could have been happy probably either way. Since I came from an old F2 the placement of the controls on the Canon seemed more practical. I had a learning curve either way and the Canon layout just made more sense to me.

They are both great systems and a person could not go wrong with either. Nothing wrong with some of the other systems, they are just not quite as large in range or in some cases as cost effective.

Besides, Nikon don't make this lens!:stun:
