Who doesn't love a double rainbow?

We had an awesome rainstorm after dinner. I was folding laundry with the doors open at the back of the house, enjoying the smell. Suddenly my 6 year old burst in and said "MOM! You have to see the rainbow!" I grabbed my camera, and to my surprise it was a double rainbow! I fired a quick handheld bracket, and then realized I really needed a tripod. By the time I got my camera up on the tripod, the double rainbow was gone, and the single rainbow was dull and fading. So while this is no where near perfect and it was a quick edit- I though I would share anyways! I know that this is technically underexposed, but I did want it that way. It was still raining and very gloomy, so I really wanted to keep that mood in the shot.

C&C welcome, especially tips on how to think quicker on my feet!

My rock was called the Congregation of Jehovahs Witness's. I missed out on a lot of "the world" For my own protection of corse. ;-)

I really don't mind! Hijack away. After all, if no one hijacked my posts, how would I EVER learn these important things like Who Alfred E. Neumann is?

Thinking on my feet is my biggest hurdle. I think digital has caused this issue, or maybe I just need more experience? But i usually fire a quick shot with what I think quickly, then review the screen and adjust. I suppose though, if I had run for my tripod FIRST "knowing" I needed it- then I may have missed it altogether.
Sure, I wish it were sharper. Cropped a little better. Who knows what else could have made it better (Still waiting for c&C on that ;-) ) but if I HAD stopped to think here I may have missed it completely. So I suppose I will take mediocracy over nonexistance. :Giggle:

Seeing a double rainbow is like a fairy tale to me,I don't even see a single one. The only thing missing is the unicorn but I will let that slide this time. Nice Capture Jazzie.
