Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I made a free website using wix.com as a start up feel free to check it out here, sorry for lack of pictures the free website hosting only lets you store so many photos. I just recently bought a Canon 300D with Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III, EF-S 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 (stock lens). Almost every picture I have uploaded was taken with a canon EOS T1i (I think) it was a good friends and I can never remember the exact model or lens.

Some C&C would be amazing :)

Most serious enthusiast's will have a web page or 2 or even 3 ;).

Most of our members don't want to follow your link off-site, you'd be best to post a shot or 2 directly in your post.

If you post 2-3 images here you will get more feedback.

The last picture was my horse she passed away 11/10/11

I think they're all overexposed.

Hi Ashlei, this is just a real quick answer here.

You shot these in harsh light - washing out a lot of detail in some areas. While a stop or so darker would have given a little more detail in those areas, you would have to make some adjustment in processing to make the overall images more balanced. That's the advantage of digital - at least in an easier sense over film.

In #1, the flower is over exposed, and to get it darker, the overall scene would have been darker. In post, you would then selectively brighten the area around the flower.

Thanks for that I will remember to darken the photo and then lighten certain parts in post. Besides over exposure can anything else be critiqued about the photos?

in #2, it would look much nicer if you had a straight horizon line

Crooked angles and horizon lines make me have panic attacks

I'm almost done with my website.

I'm buying my first dslr next week.

as soon as I finish up my watermark, I'll be a pro! Wooohoooo

btw. Wix is great. The paid version is great. Much faster, use your own domain name, much more storage, etc...
