Who is your favorite stand-up comic?

I LOVE stand up comedy....I was listening to Bob and Tom on my way to school the other day, and the guest was Stephen Lynch. I'd totally forgotten about him.

He had a special on Comedy Central a long time ago, and I LOVED that special, and watched it everytime they played it (which was a lot)

So, I spent last night (when I should have been doing my homework) watching him over and over again on youtube, and just watched him some more.

Now I've moved onto Mitch Hedberg. LOVE him! Wish he was still around. I was introduced to him at the same time as Stephen Lynch...

...I think I'm gonna have to try and find some of Dane Cook's stuff from around that time.

Soooo....who are your faves? I need to find new some new comics!

Mitch Hedberg's pretty quality...that said, Robin Williams takes the cake with his Broadway DVD performance solely; still have to see his earlier vid from the late 80s.

I hate to sound stereotypical, but Dane Cook. I don't know enough people who are so consistently funny to compare, though...lol. Most comics have one joke and just suck...
THere was a guy on Sirius the other day...but I forget who he was...he made me laugh nonstop for an hour...

I like Dane Cook, but actually place quite a few others above him....such as Stephen Lynch and Mitch Hedberg.

If you haven't checked out Stephen Lynch, DO IT. Just type his name in a youtube search, and watch each video, one by one.

Stephen Lynch and Dane Cook are very good...but I like Jim Gaffigan too.

I hate to say this but i cant stand dane cook, at least from his older stuff he just seems to try to "overdo" everything, and it doesnt work. Might be better now i dont know. I like mitch, jim gaffigan, lewis black, john pinette.

Anyone who hasn't seen Robin Williams's HBO special should check it out, but my current favorite is Eddie Izzard.
