I hadn't heard of this until I saw this thread last night and decided to check it out. I wasted my entire evening thanks to you, Keith. I haven't played real golf in twenty years so it was kind of funny that once I got comfortable with the controls I started making the exact same kinds of mistakes I used to. My name on there is the same as here, so anyone can feel free to add me. I probably won't be on it tonight though because I have to study for a test tomorrow. Actually, who am I kidding? I'll probably be on at some point.

In real life most golfers never break 100, and you're not far from breaking into the 80's for a stroke average on WGT. Hitting more greens in regulation (GIR) will dramatically lower your stroke average. Having your GIR at 75% or better really helps.

The Olympic Club is a real challenge, as are all the USGA set up courses. I like Bethpage Black and Congressional.

It sure would be nice if they had Pebble Beach.

Here are some recent replays of Eagle shots I've been fortunate to make the last couple of days -
I just missed the green with my second shot on this par 5, but here is the chip in for eagle (2 under par).

Here I did hit my second shot to the green of a par 5, and made a 31.9 foot putt for eagle:

On this par 4 I holed my 46 yard approach shot for eagle. I used a 64° wedge (50 yards nominal max distance) with a lot of backspin on the ball. Since it was a downwind shot I knew it would land beyond the hole with a full swing. So, I needed the backspin to make the ball back up and approach the hole on a roll from behind the hole:
