Found a case FULL of lenses at my grandparents. What type of camera would these be used for? It looks like they connect to the camera by screwing the lens in. Probably a pretty easy one but i know nothing about older cameras. Although all of these lenses are practically brand new!

Thanks for any help guys

They don't have any Branding? Google their serial numbers perhaps.

*jealous* just cause that top lens looks nice -- well from its looks ;)

Have a look around the rim of the lenses it should state the name, focal length, aperture and such details if its not already stated on the body of the lens. I'd also look around as somewhere there is the camera body (looking at the lens number maybe bodies) to go with it. It's clearly an SLR kit.

Any brand markings on the lenses? Hard to say what these are without sharp close ups of the individual lenses and at least one photo of the lens mount.

Sadly there is no brand names whatsoever.

Even when you take the lens cap off and look at the inside rim of the lens?

Serial numbers?

Ahh! Found my answer! They belong to a Mimiya/sekor 1000 DTL. That along with some film was in another bag!

Now move to the UK so I can pilfer the long lenses off you cheapish ;)

Dan, You are fortunate that you shoot Canon!!! These will mount and focus to Infinity on any Canon EF-mount body, with adapters that use NO glass elements!!! You might be surprised by the optical performance of one or two or three of those lenses on your IIn. I have had the best luck with adapters that are made of brass or bronze, and are chrome-plated, and NOT the cheaper, all-aluminum ones. I bought a number of chrome-plated ones for about $17 each from an e_Bay store called O.C. Camera in League City, Texas. Had good luck with them on many e-Bay buys.

I don't shoot canon, but still.... lucky mother-

Can you point me towards the right direction? As in like a link possibly? Im pretty excited now! Had no clue they were usable on later era cameras.
