Why do people like the Nikon D7100?

Well ... I definitely dont think a D7100 is 97% of what a D810 is ... its a different beast.

Specifically you'll need different lenses, because of the crop factor.

You wont really save much money either, even, because most of the really good glas are full frame anyway.

Like the mighty AF-S 24mm f1.8, a lens that renders better than a 24mm has any business to do so, from any manufacturer, will be degraded to a mere 35mm. Sure, its still as good as before. But its no longer the only 24mm thats this good, just a very good 35mm.

And compared to the price of the really good glas, the price difference of D810 to D7100 isnt that huge either anymore either. Photography is such a damn expensive hobby...
