Why do snakes hate me?

This thing tried to nip me once, and lundged at me after that.. I was just taking pictures!!

Don't feel bad about snakes hating you. I tried taking a shot of a mushroom one time and a hidden nest of fire ants decided to tear me up.

Great shot. It looks like a Garter Snake to me. Most of the time are not aggressive but can be. If ya get to close.

It looks like a garter snake to me, but i wouldnt bet on it, knowing my luck it would be the most poisoness snake ever. Well done though, getting any picture of such a shy animal great, and one doing this even better .

Nice capture... I like the fact its head is up, and we can see the zigzag of its body

definately a garter snake...never had one be aggressive towards me, then again I've never tried to photograph one...

Just the other day I was trying to take a picture of the snake in my front yard, and he wouldn't stop moving. Snakes can be pretty tough subjects, haha...cool photo.
