Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Photos will come, I just need to edit them first :)

So, keep an eye on this thread if you want to see some star shots. Also, if you'd like to give C&C, don't switch channel yet!

One man..................one camera...................one sky...................30 seconds of exposure....................an aperture of f/4...........................ISO value at 800....................what will happen?......................wait here to find out!

Uploading to flickr now ;)

What do you think? All shot with my Tokina 12-24mm/4, mostly at 12mm, but some may be a little zoomed in, can't remember and won't bother look it up.
Thanks for watching and commenting! :)

Hmm, I live in a city ... I am really happy if I see more than a dozen stars (Big Dipper and Cassiopeia) ... hmm.

That must suck, I always look at the stars when I'm walking in the dark. Just started photographing them, though! Remember that you camera will capture way more than your eyes do, so it might be worth a try...

Hahaha... nice to see that someone else got some inspiration from one of your last threads too, and not only me! No work this upcoming weekend, so just hope the weather will be on my side. Anyways, back on track; you got some very nice pictures! Would like to see more of the milky way though... maybe used in the same way as some of those other shots, with more of the ground and trees etc. Anyways, good job!

Think test shots to use the camera as eyes will be a blast on the 1DX ;p just crank up the ISO to "sick high" and start shooting away :p

Nice photo's,
Your photographs remind me of a place, so I have to ask - were these taken at Ørland/Brekstad?

Psytrox: all taken in the Ås area, Akershus.

The milky way was straight above me, don't think I would able to encorporate any foreground. Perhaps later in the year. And btw, this wasn't by far the brightest part of it, that part was under me :)

#7 planetary thing is jupiter. Great shots...

Thanks! I actually sent a mail to a Norwegian pop astronomer Knut Jørgen Ødegaard and asked :P

Anyway, here's the milkyway unedited version. Just look at that difference, very faint raw file, but I think I managed to bring out some detail in it.

Is there perhaps a guide/tutorial somewhere how to edit these photos?

I'm sure there are somewhere, but I haven't really looked for them. I'd like to read some.

what changes did you make to the RAW file to bring out that much in the image?
