I have a Photoflex umbrella and am looking to add a second. The Photoflex is quite sturdy and well build but I don't want to spend as much $ on the 2nd (as I will only be using it lightly indoors). Will a different brand of shoot through umbrella cast a different hue or effect?

I'm using a Nikon flash in one and a YN-560 in the other. I'm guessing the different flash units would be more likely to create a difference than the diffusers.

Any thougts you may have are appreciated!

It will, but it shouldn't be to the point you notice it in you photos. As long as you buy a quality umbrella it will produce good diffused light.

The difference between the 2 flash units will be their GN numbers. Guide number - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In other words full power from the Nikon unit will be more or less light than full power from the YN-560.

Yes, a different umbrella brand will likely deliver somewhat different light, both in color and in quality, because of different materials.
